Cactus League Spring Training in the West Valley

Every March, the West Valley gets a little busier — in a good way

Cactus League Spring Training brings 15 Major League Baseball teams to the Phoenix metro area, with half of the stadiums located throughout the West Valley. Fans travel from across the country for weeks of games, practices, and events.

It’s one of Arizona’s most recognizable seasonal attractions, and for West Valley residents, it’s right down the road.

Where the Games Are Played
Several Cactus League stadiums are located on this side of the metro area, making the West Valley a central part of the Spring Training schedule.

  • Surprise Stadium – Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals
  • Peoria Sports Complex – Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres
  • Goodyear Ballpark – Cleveland Guardians and Cincinnati Reds
  • Camelback Ranch (Glendale) – Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers
  • American Family Fields of Phoenix – Milwaukee Brewers

This concentration of venues keeps activity close to home for West Valley residents. Teravalis is proud to sponsor Surprise Stadium, supporting a venue that brings both national attention and local engagement to the area each year.

Built-In Access

Living in the West Valley means not having to plan around distance.

A weeknight first pitch can fit easily into the schedule. Hosting visitors comes with ready-made options. An afternoon game doesn’t require crossing the metro area or turning it into an all-day commitment.

That ease carries beyond Spring Training. Restaurants, entertainment, outdoor recreation, and community events continue to expand throughout this side of the Valley, reinforcing its position as one of the region’s most active areas.

At Teravalis, that connectivity isn’t accidental. The community is designed to keep residents within reach of what’s happening — while still offering the space and long-term vision expected of a master planned environment.

A Season That Signals Growth

Spring Training reflects the long-term growth and investment shaping the West Valley.

Major League teams return year after year because the infrastructure supports them — from modern facilities to transportation networks and coordinated municipal planning. The same foundation has encouraged steady development across Surprise, Peoria, Goodyear, and Glendale.

The result is a part of the Valley that feels established yet still evolving. Spring Training doesn’t create that progress — it makes it visible.

For those who live here, the season serves as a reminder that the West Valley’s growth isn’t temporary. It’s structural, intentional, and ongoing.

Part of Living Here

For many visitors, Cactus League games are a planned trip. For those who live in the West Valley, they’re woven into the calendar.

Spring Training is one of the more visible moments each year, but it reflects something consistent: access to major events, expanding amenities, and a region positioned for continued growth.

At Teravalis, that isn’t framed as a perk. It’s simply part of living here.
