Teravalis Connects with an Interconnected Park Design

Connection is one of our highest priorities at Teravalis. Specifically, we are focused on building a community that has a lasting, future-focused appeal. As part of this endeavor, we’ve sought to design a layout for our communities that inspires residents to reach out, explore, and find their place.

To accomplish this, we’ve crafted a park and trail system that fosters a relationship with the surrounding environment as well as with fellow residents. Discover how our innovative park design comes together to create the perfect environment for connection.

Path and Trail System

A connection to nature drives Teravalis. That’s why an open space design was integral to our community planning. A stunning path and trail system will thoughtfully weave throughout each village, designed to seamlessly link residential neighborhoods, parks, schools, business districts, and a community center. We want to prioritize easy, pedestrian-friendly access, regardless of where your home is located within the community.

Natural, open space corridors enhance the path and trail network, emphasizing the scenic beauty of the natural surroundings while encouraging residents to explore and enjoy the benefits of the outdoors conveniently from their doorstep.

Neighborhood Parks

We’ve designed the path and trail system so that every resident will live within an easy 10-minute walk of their neighborhood park. Neighborhood parks are designed to foster social connections and feature amenities that encourage gathering. These spaces are versatile, accommodating everyday regional activities like jogging or play, while also providing the ideal venue for hosting community-wide gatherings, celebrations, and special events.

Whether it’s a chance encounter with a neighbor, a picnic date, or just enjoying the fresh air, your neighborhood park will be the perfect place to connect.

Recreational Parks

Throughout Teravalis, residents will also find larger recreational parks. Each recreational park will be within a 15- to 20-minute walk from all residents. Recreational parks also cater more fully to organized sports and recreation, featuring areas specifically built for:

  • Soccer
  • Basketball
  • Volleyball
  • Pickleball
  • Tennis

But what’s a park without a playground? Play areas at recreational parks intentionally incorporate natural elements and landscape features to encourage creative, imaginative, and exploratory play experiences for children.

These parks will be the ideal spot for larger organized events. Thoughtfully shaded areas and pavilions provide comfortable spaces for rest, gatherings, and outdoor socializing, and even water activation, making these parks enjoyable even during warmer weather.

Pocket Parks

Complementing the larger parks, pocket parks are smaller and strategically located. Pocket parks ensure even the humblest of outings to nature are effortless, reinforcing daily outdoor engagement.

While these parks are compact, we have thoughtfully designed them to create an intimate, family-friendly environment for spontaneous play, casual gatherings, and personal relaxation. These parks showcase our commitment to design spaces where connection comes naturally.

In Harmony with Nature

Our commitment to connection extends to the surrounding natural environment as well. We can’t talk about our innovative park design without mentioning the role nature plays.

Parks and open spaces will feature wildlife-friendly landscaping and corridors that allow native animals to pass through the community safely and naturally. This fosters biodiversity and environmental sustainability, keeping the desert landscape healthy and beautiful.

Landscaping practices at these parks will also highlight native vegetation and natural trail surfaces to create spaces that authentically reflect the local ecosystem and encourage residents to engage directly with nature.

We are so excited to see this vision become a reality and allow you to explore and experience the innovative parks that Teravalis offers. Through a unique approach to outdoor connectivity, community engagement, and sustainable design, we are confident that these parks will enrich the daily lives, health, and well-being of our residents.
